A beautiful temple in my ancestral Village Nangamangalam in North Arcot district
A beautiful temple in my native village, Nangamangalam near Ocheri, Nemili Taluk about an hour and half drive from Chennai, Tamilnadu. I was awestruck on visiting the temple after a gap of 20 years. The temple was recently renovated on 2009. The main deity is Lakshmi Narayanar with Sri Devi and Bhoo devi. I will be posting the photos of temple shortly.

Airtel Supersinger 3
Sai Charan was crowned the Airtel Super Singer for season 3, at the Grand Finale held at the Chennai Trade Centre, on September 23, 2011. Thousands of active and interested audiences witnessed the much expected Airtel Super Singer 3 final, where the four finalists – Sathya Prakash, Pooja, Sai Charan and Santhosh got the greatest opportunity to sing before thousands of LIVE audience for the grand finale. The victory of these singers was judged by the votes of the viewers.
Launched in July 2010 for the hunt of Tamilnadu’s best singer, the show had reached new heights and redefined the television viewing in Tamilnadu. Many aspiring singers across Coimbatore, Trichy and Chennai took part in the ground auditions of Super Singer and proved their singing mettle in front of many legendary singers. Many innovative rounds like Black & white, Dedication, Unplugged, Western, Classical the show proved to be a success at the end of every round.
The Judges of the show – Srinivas, Unnikrishnan and Sujatha have been a source of inspiration for these budding super singers. The show was graced by legends from the Tamil music industry along with legendary music composer M.S. Viswanathan, music director G.V. Prakash, singers Mano, Unnimenon, Sriram Parthasarathy, Malgudi Suba, Pushpavanam Kuppusamy, and actor Danush, director Selvaragavan and many others.
The crowd was seen in full cheers for the title winner Saicharan when he sang ‘Paatum Naaney Bavamum Naney’ and ‘Mazhaithuli mazhaithuli mannil sangamam’. To make the LIVE finals more interesting, many LIVE performances were in store for the viewers. Popular playback/carnatic singers Nithyashree Mahadevan, Alphonse and many others gave away some exhilarating performances. Actor Danush and G.V. Prakash came together on stage and sung a foot tapping number from their up coming film ‘Mayakkam Enna’. Also Super Singers of the previous season Nikhil Mathew, Ajish, Krishnamoorthy, Alka, were among the few to cheer the audience for the evening.

BSNL Sports quiz-Superb programme!
I am a regular participant of BSNL Sports Quiz conducted by DD Chennai (Also called Podhigai)channel. I have been particpating in this program for the past 2 years. This program is conducted by Dr. Sumanth C.Raman, a very good quiz master and one among the very best in the country. Questions will come from all categories of sports and you will need to tell the answer correctly to win a prize. This phone-in-program is attended by people from all over india and abroad also. This program is conducted now on every saturday night between 10.10 p.m and 11.00 p.m. I have won prizes in this program on number of occassions. My brother also participates in this program. The program consists of a total no of 20 questions in various formats like straight drive, negative image, photo questions etc.You need to be updated on the sports arena especially news to answer in this quiz.
